MSA2023 Call for Papers extended

Abstracts now due by Friday 10th October

The MSA2023 organising committee now extend the call for papers to 10th October. We urge you to prepare and submit your abstracts using the templates here and email to the committee at MSA2023@metrology.asn.au.

We are now 5 months out from conference in Wellington so time to start making your travel plans. We are looking forward to some great conversations and your input is required. We have a solid line up of sponsors and trade tables so you do not want to miss this opportunity to get to Wellington.

It has been three years since Melbourne in 2020 so we expect there to be many updates and stories to share, so get these into an abstract and forward before the due date.

Special General Meeting - Monday 10th October 2022

We invite our members to virtually attend a special general meeting on Monday 10th October at 12noon (Sydney time). In line with our constitution we need member approval by way of voting on the following motions:

1. Defer the MSA AGM to conference in February 2023, and
2. Appoint an Acting Vice President

This meeting will be held on Zoom and the meeting link has been confirmed on the Discussion Forum here. If you cannot be there on the date virtually we ask that you offer your vote by proxy by completing this form here.

Passing of Tom Elliott (MSA Vice President)

It is with profound sadness we acknowledge the passing of MSA Vice President Tom Elliott. Tom lost his battle with cancer on 13th August peacefully at home. Tom worked for WIKA in South Africa before transferring to Australia following the death of his first wife. In Australia, he became National Sales Manager for WIKA and joined the MSA in 2019 becoming Vice President in 2020. He was always up for a joke and good time and for those who met Tom within our MSA circles will fondly remember a kind and generous man with a passion for people and the MSA network. He was good at what he did in both business and personal life and thus well respected by both customers and WIKA personnel. Rest In Peace Tom, you will be sadly missed.
