    ACM Laboratory Pty Ltd is a NATA accredited calibration laboratory since 1968 that conducts calibration on Dimensional, Temperature and Humidity, Torque and Force, and Electrical instruments. We are looking for a hard-working Calibration Technician/Engineer to join our busy team in Highett Vic.
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform instruments calibration and maintenance in accordance with laboratory work instructions and testing methods.
    • Calibration of a broad range of instruments:
    o Dimensional metrology instruments, e.g. callipers, micrometers, gauge blocks etc.
    o Temperature instruments, e.g. thermometers, RTD/PRT, thermocouples, temperature indicators etc.
    o Torque and Force instruments, e.g. torque wrenches, force gauges etc.
    o Weighing instruments, e.g. masses, balances, load cells etc.
    o Electrical testing instruments, e.g. digital multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters, etc. Have a good understanding of electrical principles and applications.
    o Pressure gauges.

    • Maintain a high quality testing system to NATA accreditation standard.
    • Maintaining a high degree of customer satisfactory.
    • Perform other duties as requested by Lab Manager.
    Requirements:
    • Certificate or Diploma in applied physics, mechanical and electronic technology (Desirable).
    • Previous experience in a relative calibration laboratory environment is preferred.
    • Previous experience in multimeters, clamp meters, load cell and force testing machines calibration is desirable.
    • Excellent time management skills with an ability to effectively plan and prioritise.
    • Capability to perform calibration according to the instructions, keen to learning new knowledge is essential.
    • Understanding of calibration and testing techniques.
    • Understanding of laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
    • Self-motivated; able to work overtime; have strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team.
    • Ensure prompt and accurate test results are presented, both written and oral.
    • Able to work at customer’s site and have good communication skills.
    • Must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
