Become a Member
The day-to-day operation of the MSA is run by a group of volunteers who form the MSA Committee, consisting of an Executive and ordinary members. We meet online for a one-hour meeting every six weeks and manage the ongoing business of the MSA as well as providing leadership, strategic planning and oversight of our events.
The MSA exists to serve the interests of its members as well as the wider metrology community. The income that we receive from our members helps to cover our running costs including operation and maintenance of the website, maintaining our registration, supporting our events, etc. The cost of membership is very modest compared with most other professional associations.

Attend a Metrology Event
Every two years we hold our major conference which brings together metrologists from predominantly Australasia but also elsewhere around the world. As with the memberships, we try to keep the registration costs for the conference at a very affordable level, and we make the scientific programme approachable for people from all fields of metrology, as well as holding fun and entertaining social events.
In between the conferences, we hold regular events often around World Metrology Day in May but also at other ad-hoc times throughout the year. The types of other events that we hold include seminars, laboratory tours and other social events.
