Dr Peter Fisk We welcome Dr Peter Fisk, NMI’s Chief Executive and Chief Metrologist. Since 2012 he has led a reform process aimed at strengthening NMI’s engagement with key economic sectors and ensuring return for the government’s investment in metrology. From 2013-2016, Peter chaired the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme, where he oversaw the formal processes that deliver international acceptance of the measurement services of over 25 NMI’s. |

Dr John Church The winner of the 2017 AMOS Morton Medal, Dr John Church’s area of expertise is the role of the ocean in climate, particularly anthropogenic climate change, and in understanding global and regional sea-level rise. Professor Andre Luiten Prof Andre Luiten is Director of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) and Chair of Experimental Physics at the University of Adelaide. |

Dr Peter Thompson Peter Thompson has a PhD in molecular electronics. He worked in trace analytical chemistry for the Defence Research Agency and Defence Evaluation and Research Agency. He held a variety of technical, project and programme roles before joining the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), where he undertook business unit leader and customer-facing roles in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for defence and security. Peter became head of the Counter Terrorism Science and Technology Centre. Following a period in the Ministry of Defence headquarters, Peter returned to DSTL as a Board Member and Deputy Chief Executive. Peter took up his present role at NPL in September 2015. While in Australia Peter will address MSA2017 as a plenary speaker as well as hold collaborative meetings with MSA, NMI and MSL. |
