The MSA Metrologist Award will be awarded to a member of the Metrology Society of Australasia (MSA) and is intended to celebrate excellence in metrology. The recipient is nominated by fellow members of the MSA, and judged by a review panel appointed by the MSA Committee. The award is to be presented at each MSA Biennial Conference, i.e. it is not an annual award but instead spans conference intervals.
Nominees may be based anywhere in the world, as long as they are a member of the MSA. There are no fixed criteria for eligibility for nominations for the award. Nominations may be based on lifetime achievements and contributions to the field; or may also be based on a single specific, highly challenging project that demonstrated metrological excellence; or other achievement(s) deemed worthy of recognition.
The MSA Committee is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for an 2025 MSA Metrologist Award, to be presented at the Rapid-Tech MSA2025 Conference in Sydney.
