Second call for Abstracts – deadline 31 May
The MSA conference always delivers an expansive range of talks and is a great place to share your successes. Are you doing something new in your lab, are you stepping into speaking for the first time, or do have something novel to share? Presentations can be on any aspects relating to metrology in Calibration, Measurement, Testing; eg measurement techniques, measurement applications, laboratory accreditation and associated activities, measurement traceability, emerging issues in metrology, etc. and are normally 20 minutes duration including time for questions. It’s not just for the boffins – we are especially keen to receive abstracts relating to industrial applications and from second and third-tier laboratories. Help us build an informative and diverse programme!

Keynote announcement – Adam Spencer
Due to the unfortunate withdrawal of James Olthoff as speaker, we are very excited to introduce a keynote with a difference. Adam Spencer is an MC, Speaker, Comedian, Author & Maths Geek. MSA Metrologist Award
The MSA Committee remind you that nominations open for the 2025 MSA Metrologist Award, to be presented at the Rapid-Tech MSA2025 Conference in Sydney.
The MSA Metrologist Award will be awarded to a member of the Metrology Society of Australasia (MSA) and is intended to celebrate excellence in metrology. The recipient is nominated by fellow members of the MSA, and judged by a review panel appointed by the MSA Committee. Open to any member of the MSA. There are no fixed criteria for eligibility for nominations for the award. Nominations may be based on lifetime achievements and contributions to the field; or may also be based on a single specific, highly challenging project that demonstrated metrological excellence; or other achievement(s) deemed worthy of recognition.
