The MSA is pleased to support recognition of excellence across our community. Do you know someone achieving great things and whose research is making an impact?
Nominations are now open
The National Measurement Institute (NMI) invites nominations for the 2026 Measurement Awards, celebrating the people and projects shaping Australia’s measurement future.
These annual awards recognise outstanding achievements in measurement science across all sectors and career stages. Since the awards were first presented in 2008, they have highlighted the world leading research, innovation and expertise underpinning Australia’s technical infrastructure and supporting our economy, industry and community.
Each year, NMI presents four awards that acknowledge excellence at every level — from emerging professionals to those who have made a sustained and significant contribution to the field. If your work, or the work of a colleague, has delivered meaningful impact through measurement science, we encourage you to submit a nomination.
Nominations close at 5.00 pm AEST on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
Award recipients will be announced during a special online event as part of National Science Week 2026 (15–23 August).
